Build a Booking Requests App with PowerApps
A Cloud Architect’s Perspective
As a Cloud Architect, I am always looking for ways to streamline business processes, improve user experience and increase efficiency by leveraging cloud technology. One of the ways I do this is by building custom applications that are tailored to the business’ needs. One such application I recently built was a Booking Requests App with PowerApps.
PowerApps is a cloud-based application development platform that enables users to quickly and easily create custom applications. This platform allows developers to quickly build applications by leveraging data sources, and create a user interface that is tailored to the business needs. The Booking Requests App enabled users to easily submit and manage their booking requests.
The Development Process
The development process for the Booking Requests App was relatively straightforward. First, I identified the data sources that would be used for the application. I chose to use Microsoft SQL Server for the database, and an Office 365 SharePoint list for the user interface.
Once the data sources were identified, I began building the application. I used the PowerApps interface to quickly create the app’s user interface. I was able to reuse components from other apps I had built, which enabled me to quickly create the app.
Once the user interface was complete, I connected the app to the data sources. This allowed me to easily pull data into the app and quickly create the database tables and views. Finally, I tested the app to ensure that it functioned properly.
The Benefits of the Application
