Incoming calls can’t be answered in Microsoft Teams intermittently
Title: Incoming calls can’t be answered in Microsoft Teams intermittently
User Impact: Users may have incoming calls intermittently dropped upon answering.
More info: Teams iOS client 2.0.9 has been identified as the problematic build. Users operating a previous client version will not experience the issue.
Current status: We’ve identified that the problem causing incoming calls to intermittently drop exists within the Teams iOS client build 2.0.9. We’re validating a fixed version of this build for release to the iOS app store and we encourage users to refrain from updating to the current version of the app until the new version is released tomorrow.
Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event. Impact is specific to users that are signed into Teams on the affected iOS build, and any other Microsoft Teams endpoint simultaneously.
Root cause: A recent Teams iOS client build update contained a change to a component that facilitates calls made to users with multiple endpoints. The change is causing incoming calls to be intermittently dropped upon answering. The issue is present in only the Teams iOS client build 2.0.9.
Solution:
- Log off from iOS App (iPhone & iPad) if user has both device you need to reinstall on both
- Delete the iOS Teams App
- Install the Teams App again and login
