Build a Viva Connections Card to Display Stock Prices – Part 2: the Card
Introduction
In the first part of this series, we discussed the components of the Viva Connections card and the associated Microsoft Graph API which we will use to create the card. Now, we are going to build the card itself and explore the different components which will make up the card.
Building the Viva Connections Card
The first step in creating the Viva Connections card is to create the card itself. We will use the Microsoft Graph API to create the card and we can do this by making a simple POST request to the Graph API. The request body should contain the following information:
* The name of the card
* The type of card
* The card configuration
The card configuration is the most important part of the request and this is where we will define the components of the card and how they should be displayed. In this case, we will create a card which shows the current stock prices of a particular company. The configuration should look like this:

The card configuration will define the different components of the card and how they should be displayed. In this case, we will create a card which shows the current stock prices of a particular company.
The configuration should contain the following information:
* The company which we want to show the stock prices for
* The type of chart which will be used to display the stock prices
* The data source for the stock prices
* The frequency of the stock prices being updated
Once we have configured the card, we can then make a POST request to the Microsoft Graph API to create the card.
