Introducing a New RecoverableItems Experience in Exchange Online

Managing Recoverable Items in Exchange Online Just Got Easier
The Exchange team recently released a new feature for Exchange Online that makes managing recoverable items easier for users. Recoverable items are items that have been deleted from a mailbox but are still stored in the Recoverable Items folder. This feature is designed to help users more efficiently manage their mailboxes and recover items that have been deleted.

What is the Recoverable Items Feature?
The Recoverable Items feature in Exchange Online provides users with an easy way to manage their deleted items. When items are deleted from a mailbox, they are moved to the Recoverable Items folder. The Recoverable Items folder is a special folder that is not visible to users, but is still accessible through the Exchange Online web interface.

The Recoverable Items feature makes it easier for users to manage their deleted items. It allows users to view their deleted items and restore them to their mailbox if necessary. Users can also permanently delete items from the Recoverable Items folder if they are sure they no longer need them.

How Does the Recoverable Items Feature Work?
The Recoverable Items feature works by creating two separate folders in a user’s mailbox: the Recoverable Items folder and the Recoverable Items – Versions folder. The Recoverable Items folder contains items that have been deleted from the mailbox and are still accessible in the Recoverable Items folder. The Recoverable Items – Versions folder contains older versions of the items that have been deleted from the mailbox.

When a user deletes an item from the mailbox, the item is moved to the Recoverable Items folder. The item is then stored in the Recoverable Items folder until it is either restored to the mailbox or permanently deleted. The item can also be moved to the Recoverable Items – Versions folder if it is an older version of an item that has been deleted.

How to Use the Recoverable Items Feature
The Recoverable Items feature can be accessed through the Exchange Online web interface. To access the feature, users need to log into their account and click on the “Recoverable Items” tab. This will open the Recoverable Items folder and the Recoverable Items – Versions folder.

From here, users can view the items that have been deleted from their mailbox and either restore them to the mailbox or permanently delete them. Users can also move items from the Recoverable Items folder to the Recoverable Items – Versions folder if they are older versions of items that have been deleted.

Conclusion
The Recoverable Items feature in Exchange Online makes it easier for users to manage their deleted items. This feature allows users to view their deleted items and restore them to their mailbox if necessary. The Recoverable Items feature can be accessed through the Exchange Online web interface and makes it easier for users to manage their deleted items.
