Office 365: How to Set Up Different Email Signatures for Shared Mailbox and User Mailbox
Introduction
As a Cloud Architect, it’s important to be able to manage multiple identities within Office 365 and ensure that each user identity has the appropriate email signature. In this blog post, we will discuss how to use PowerShell to set up different email signatures for a shared mailbox and a user mailbox in Office 365.

Configuring Email Signatures in Office 365
Configuring email signatures in Office 365 can be done in two ways, either using the Office 365 Admin Center or using PowerShell. In this blog, we will be using PowerShell to set up different email signatures for a shared mailbox and a user mailbox.

Using PowerShell to Set Up an Email Signature for a Shared Mailbox
To begin, we will need to connect to Exchange Online. To do this, we need to open up the Exchange Online PowerShell session and run the following command:

$UserCredential = Get-Credential

$Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri https://outlook.office365.com/powershell-liveid/ -Credential $UserCredential -Authentication Basic -AllowRedirection

Import-PSSession $Session

Once connected to Exchange Online, we can set up an email signature for a shared mailbox. To do this, run the following command:

Set-MailboxMessageConfiguration -Identity “Shared Mailbox” -AutoAddSignature $true -SignatureHtml “Put signature HTML here”

This will set up an email signature for the shared mailbox.

Using PowerShell to Set Up an Email Signature for a User Mailbox
To set up an email signature for a user mailbox, run the following command:

Set-MailboxMessageConfiguration -Identity “User Mailbox” -AutoAddSignature $true -SignatureHtml “Put signature HTML here”

This will set up an email signature for the user mailbox.
